Great Western Hospital, located in Swindon, England, operates under the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We began our outreach with this hospital due to its close proximity to our school, allowing us to establish a strong local partnership and make a direct impact within our community.
In celebration of the upcoming festive season, we were able to donate ten uniquely designed bonding blankets, each crafted with cheerful Christmas themes, including stars, ornaments, mistletoe, candy canes, and Christmas trees. These blankets were created to bring warmth and comfort to both mothers and their babies, serving as gentle reminders of joy, togetherness, and hope during a special time of year.
A dedicated group of ABBA volunteers-April, Millie, and our founder Mona-personally visited Great Western Hospital to deliver the donations. The visit marked an important step in our ongoing mission to support maternal wellbeing and strengthen the bond between mothers and their newborns, one blanket at a time.
